Now that the European crisis seems largely passed, or so it would seem, where is the EU headed? The 6th European Conference at Harvard (March 2-4, 2018) will bring together a unique combination of policy, academic and business leaders to explore this question.

Graduate students at Harvard, MIT Sloan and the Fletcher School are delighted to present the sixth-annual European Conference at Harvard - Europe: Winds In The Sails.

This year’s program is the conference’s most diverse and dynamic to date, featuring:

  • An all-day negotiation simulation on passing drone regulation in the European Parliament, moderated by drone experts, negotiation experts, and members of the European parliament
  • A full day of panels exploring, as the European Crisis seems largely to have passed, where the EU is currently headed. Each panel will feature world-class speakers in their field, including Thomas Greminger, Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, David O'Suillivan, Ambassador of the European Union to the United States, and Jacqueline Bhabha, Harvard Professor and Director of Research at the FXB Center for Health & Human Rights who contribute to shaping tomorrow's EU and transatlantic relationships.
  • A black-tie reception at the Harvard Art Museums featuring an opening keynote address by European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager, and a performance by the American Modern Opera Company
  • A closing piano recital by world-famous virtuoso Simon Ghraichy
