 On Saturday, Nov. 3rd, the German Saturday School in Houston is celebrating St. Martin’s with a lantern procession at Evelyn’s Park, 4400 Bellaire Boulevard, across Bellaire Methodist Church. All are invited: 5:00 pm Playtime, 5:45 pm St. Martin’s play, 6:00 pm Lantern Procession. Bring your family and friends. There will be traditional St. Martin’s cookies.

On Saturday, Nov. 10th, St. John’s United Church of Christ in Rosenberg, TX will host a St. Martin’s lantern procession as well at 6pm. Bring your lantern materials with you. There will be free soup for dinner and whoever wishes to bring dessert may do so. Afterwards, the story of St. Martin will be reenacted before going on the lantern procession.

 On Sunday, Nov. 11th the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) German Club is organizing a St. Martin’s Day Parade and Lantern Festival. The RGV German Club is an active member of the Brownsville, TX community, bringing a number of German heritage and German language events to this city on the edge of the US-Mexican border.
