Experimental folk-pop duo Christy & Emily collaborates with the TransAtlantic Ensemble to bring an evening of folk, classical music, and jazz, on May 4, 2018.

The German Consulate General Recommends:

Experimental folk-pop duo Christy & Emily, a sublime blend of haunting vocal harmonies with electric piano and organ dreaminess, collaborates with the TransAtlantic Ensemble with Mariam Adam & Evelyn Ulex, a clarinet and piano duo “redefining classical music” (Feast of Music) to bring an evening of classical music, folk and jazz unlike any other.

Christy & Emily play a set with collaborators from the Indie-rock scene, while the TransAtlantic Ensemble will perform selections from their latest album “Havana Moon” (Best of Sirius XM Symphony Hall 2016) including Paquito D’Rivera, Roberto Sierra, and Miguel del Aguila.)

Pianist Evelyn Ulex was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. She holds degrees from Berlin's University of the Arts as well as the acclaimed Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany. As a founding member of the TransAtlantic Ensemble, Ms. Ulex performs with American clarinetist Mariam Adam.
