Opening the WSNY season: Summer Festivals Roundup - Bayreuth, Munich, on September 21, 2018.

The German Consulate General Recommends:

Bayreuth lecturer John J. H. Muller will lead a discussion of summer festivals in Bayreuth and Munich, hosted by the Wagner Society of New York, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at the Liederkranz Foundation, 6 East 87th St., Manhattan.

William Germano will give opening remarks on “Flying Dutchmen and Holy Fools” before commentary by festival attendees, with visuals. The program will Cover the Ring revival and new “Parsifal” production of the Bayerische Staatsoper (Munich), Kirill Petrenko, conductor:
