Join us to watch “Hiwwe wie Driwwe – The Roots of the Pennsylvania Dutch” and meet Christian Schega for a screening and discussion, on June 18, 2019 at the German House.

The German Consulate General Co-Presents:

HIWWE WIE DRIWWE – The Roots of the Pennsylvania Dutch, is a documentary created by 2 filmmakers from the Palatinate region in Southwest Germany searching for their relatives in America. Benjamin Wagener and Christian Schega are joined by Douglas Madenford, born and raised in the PA Dutch region, to go on a search for traces of their homelands and continued traditions in both the Pfalz area of Germany and in America – the Pennsylvania Dutch region.

After a successful tour in Germany, they are making their debut at the German Consulate in NY, to be followed by presentations in Washington, D.C.,New Jersey, Virginia, and numerous locations throughout Pennsylvania.
