The German Consulate General Recommends:
The 5th Annual Family Oktoberfest is the school’s own version of a traditional Oktoberfest but reimagined as a Brooklyn inspired “Blocktoberfest”. This year you will dance to the electrifying beats of Sugar Tone’s Brass Band, you’ll see traditional Bavarian dances by kids and adults, you’ll rock out to a live performance by the Brooklyn Music School Rock Band “The So and Sos”, you will marvel at DJ Fatboi’s taste in music and you will vote for “best dressed” during our annual Fashion Show.
Local vendors include Greenlight Bookstore, Brooklyn Solar Works, CityKinder and Kinderhaus. Local Biergarten DSK will provide a variety of beers and brats. Expect a huge 14’ tall double slide, Face Painting, a tons of kids activities and FC Bayern Munich Mascot BERNI will make an appearance!
And once again there is a RAFFLE with over 15 fun prices from restaurant vouchers to a one-year membership to the Brooklyn Children Museum.
