Conductor Eve Queler, founder and director of Opera Orchestra of New York, will speak on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019 at the Liederkranz Foundation.

The German Consulate General Recommends:

Conductor Eve Queler, founder and director of Opera Orchestra of New York, will speak on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at a program of the Wagner Society of New York at 7:30 p.m.  at the Liederkranz Foundation, 6 East 87th St., Manhattan.

Scott Carlton will host the event; he is WSNY coordinator of grants and awards to singers. Maestro Queler conducted more than 100 performances of OONY, including concerts of   “Tristan und Isolde”, “Rienzi”, and a gala Wagner concert in 1987 of the ending of each Ring cycle opera. She has presented international artists in major roles and discovered many outstanding singers.  Copies of her recent book, “A View from the Podium”, will be available for purchase and signing by the maestro.

A social hour with cash bar willfollow the program.
