BALLOON is playing on Tuesday 11/12, 7:30PM at the Great Neck Squire. It is the WINNER of the Audience Award - Best Feature Film at the 2019 Washington DC Film Fest. Directed by Michael Bully Herbig (in Germany with English Subtitles) this narrative film, based on the true story of what may be the most spectacular escape attempt from East Germany ever undertaken, is about two families who attempt to fly to West Germany in a homemade hot air balloon. This inspiring and thrilling film will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end.

THE KEEPER is playing on Sunday 11/10, 7:00PM at Great Neck Squire Cinemas. Directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller (with English subtitles) this is the romantic and life-affirming story of Bert Trautmann, a WWII soldier and POW who signs as Manchester City’s first German goalkeeper during British post-war protest and prejudice, causing outrage among thousands of fans, many of them Jewish. A remarkable and complicated story of love, loyalty and forgiveness.
