Saint George’s Choral Society is providing free online singing sessions to the public for four Wednesdays in the month of June.

The German Consulate General Recommends:

Saint George’s Choral Society providing FREE (donations accepted) online singing sessions to the public for four Wednesdays in the month of June. The sessions will take place on Zoom and are all led by SGCS's Artistic Director Matthew Lewis. Each evening begins with a vocal warmup, followed by a rehearsal/reading of given movements. Scores are available by PDF, emailed to participants. There is no charge for participation, but donations are encouraged.

The program slate is as follows (Each session begins at 7PM and ends at 8:15PM):

  • On June 3 : Mendelssohn: Elijah (“Yet doth the Lord see it not,” “He, watching over Israel”)
  • June 10: Vaughan Williams: Serenade to Music
  • June 17: Dvořák: Stabat Mater (“Eia Mater, fons amoris”)
  • June 24: Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem (“Selig sind, die da Leid tragen”)
