Open artist studio in connection with the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA)

In connection with the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA), German artist Dunja Messer-Jourdain is inviting guests into her studio to enjoy art and connect with her and other art lovers.

The artist’s mind and heart have a close relationship to color and texture. The work is both a reflection and an exploration of spiritual, emotional and mental states. They are abstract, colorful experiential filters that reflect a sense of personal, profound experiences at every level of the being as an individual. The paintings create a presence that seeks to engage viscerally and liberate the intellect as does meditation.

Dunja Messer-Jourdain works with acrylics, glitter and beads. The artist is a painter and fashion designer. She was trained at her family's master tailor atelier in Germany. Dunja Messer-Jourdain attended the College for Design in Hanover, Germany and the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany where she graduated in international management with a focus on the textile industry in Fair Trade. The artist studied design, the making of textiles and coloring at Co-Optex International company in Chennai, India. Currently, she works from her studio in New York City.
