Due to COVID-19 we currently operate BY APPOINMENT ONLY and do not attend walk-in clients! Please read all information provided on our website carefully, before making any appoinment!


Please schedule an appointment via our online appointment system for the following consular matters:

- passport applications (no ID Card applications currently)

- visa applications 


To arrange appointments for all other services, please contact us by email!

- notarization of signatures (e.g. name declaration, birth or marriage registration, legal documents)

- full notarization (Beurkundung, e.g. certificate of inheritance)

- all citizenship matters (naturalization; rentention of citizenship)

- pick-up or drop-off of documents related to a pending case


Retention Permits are accepted by mail (not email)! Send your complete application (2 application forms with signature, 1 set of copies) by mail, but please note: an appoinment is needed for the notarization of copies of passport and Greencard!


In case of an emergency (e.g. loss of your travel document right before a scheduled trip to Germany), please contact us!

The Consulate General can be reached by phone during the following hours:
