How to Reach the Emergency Service

Please note that the emergency service offers assistance only to German citizens needing immediate assistance or if you are calling on behalf of a German citizen who requires immediate assistance. It does not have access to files and can neither provide information on the status of passport or visa applications nor answer general inquiries.

Lost or Stolen Credit Cards

If your credit or debit cards are lost or stolen, please have them reported to the issuing credit card company or bank. For most credit or debit Cards issued by a German bank, you can use the following numbers:
