What happens when young people connect on an international level, when they meet and discover new realities in order to understand and evaluate commonalities and differences? They develop new perspectives, think anew, bigger than before.

The #BronxBerlinConnection traveles regularly to NYC, the Hip Hop Mecca of this culture they believe themselves to be a part of. Playing shows, doing workshops, meeting with incarcerated young people at NYC´s “Rikers Island” or participating in a “Feed the People Drive” in Harlem on Thanksgiving...

As part of the 10th anniversary of the #BronxBerlinConnection, together with the Goethe-Institut New York a documentary was created about all this.

Impressive what this little film could achieve now, in the last two years. It was nominated by the Black International Film Festival (Montreal), the Docs Film Festival (Los Angeles), the Hip Hop Film Festival (NYC) and won the Hip Hop Film Festival (Rome) and the Black International Cinema Berlin Film Festival in the category “Best Documentary Production” (Berlin).
