With the support of the German Foreign Office, Hamburgs Reeperbahn Festival offers a delegation of German and European music business people the opportunity to meet the top decision makers of the U.S. music industry in course of the world’s largest independent music conference A2IM. The aim is to give the delegates insights into the local markets in a program consisting of various panels, receptions as well as visits at important New York companies and to establish valuable personal contacts and sustainable networking.

In celebration of the U.S. launch of the international initiative Keychange, which promotes gender equality in the music industry, Reeperbahn Festival invites press representatives and international music experts to The Delancey in Lower East Side on June 14 at 6 pm. In partnership with Keychange, Reeperbahn Festival will focus on gender equality in music that evening.

Beginning 6pm, participants including representatives from UN Women, Shesaid.so and Keychange will have an interactive discussion with the audience on gender equality in music, and ROBA Music Publishing will present the results of the songwriting camp for female, trans and non-binary writers, artists and producers, which takes place digitally as part of Reeperbahn Festival New York.

At 8:30pm the Reeperbahn Festival New York Free Showcase will feature a line-up of diverse emerging talent, including ÄTNA from Germany, BILLIE MARTEN, (UK), and SOAK from Ireland. The event will be free of entry and open to public from 8:30pm till midnight, at George’s Downstairs Lounge at The Delancey.

Additionally, Reeperbahn Festival New York will host two key music industry panels at A2IM Indie Week - June 13 on monetizing music and maneuvering European royalties, and June 14 on how EU and U.S. executives are implementing transformational leadership and diversity to build an inclusive and diverse work Environment.

USA will be the focus country of this year Reeperbahn Festival, which takes place from 21th - 24th September in Hamburg.
