Maggot Heart, based in Berlin and formed/led by Swedish guitarist and vocalist Linnéa Olsson, is a band known for their unique sound which takes influence from hard rock and punk music. They released their debut EP, City Girls in 2017, and have since quickly risen in the European hard rock scene to international intrigue. Their 2018 debut studio album, Dusk to Dusk, received a P3 Guild Award nomination in Sweden for “Best Metal/Rock album of the year”, while their sophomore album, Mercy Machine, was praised for its eclectic and sometimes jarring tonality. The band will be releasing their third album, Hunger, on September 29th, following the lead single, “Looking Back at You”, which features some of Olsson’s most provocative songwriting yet. On October 17, Maggot Heart joins forces with Italian doom metal quartet Messa for a performance at Le Poisson Rouge.
