Schaubühne Berlin returns to St. Ann’s Warehouse with the American premiere of Who Killed My Father, written and performed by Édouard Louis and directed by Thomas Ostermeier.
Following their “elegant and frightening” masterpiece, History of Violence (New York Magazine), Schaubühne Berlin returns to St. Ann’s Warehouse with another blockbuster collaboration. In Who Killed My Father, Ostermeier directs Louis in a gripping solo debut that is intimate, queer, and highly theatrical. As Louis recounts the joy of self-discovery, a surprising bridge is made between a working-class father broken by a brutal cycle and a son who found his own way out. It is a moving origin story of an avenging warrior, Édouard Louis.
