For eight concerts in five US cities the famous Berliner Philharmoniker and their chief conductor Kirill Petrenko are back in the USA after their successful tour in 2022.
The Berliner Philharmoniker have a long history of travelling to the USA, starting with their first tour in 1955. Over the course of almost 70 years, a special and loyal friendship has developed between the orchestra and its American fans. With their current chief conductor Kirill Petrenko the Berliner Philharmoniker will play works by Bruckner, Rachmaninoff and Dvořák, as well as the violin concerto by Korngold together with American violinist Hilary Hahn. Good news for everybody, who is not able to attend one of the concerts in person: the orchestra’s online concert hall, the Digital Concert Hall, offers a free 7-day pass for all subscribers of this newsletter with this code: DCH7WDC .
You can follow the orchestra during the tour on it’s tour blog.
