The KINO! Film Salon is a free monthly online film discussion group about German film, produced by
Telescope Film and the German Film Office. Each month we choose a German film or series currently available to stream, watch it independently, and come together for a hosted conversation with other fans of German film.
Our film for April is September 5, directed by Tim Fehlbaum. During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American sports broadcasting crew finds itself thrust into covering the hostage crisis involving Israeli athletes. Their involvement deepens when it becomes clear that the hostage-takers are watching their broadcast.
Moritz Binder, the screenwriter for September 5, which was nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, is scheduled to attend.
Date and Time: Sunday, April 13 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm
Location: On Zoom; RSVP and the Zoom link will be sent to you the day before.
