The #SCALEability event on June 9, 2025, brings together U.S. and German experts to explore how educational research can be transformed into scalable EdTech ventures through innovation, funding, and transatlantic collaboration.
SCALEability: Transfer in Educational Research and Ed-Tech in Germany and the US is an event taking place on June 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Liederkranz Club, New York. Hosted by University Alliance Ruhr, 1014 – Space for Ideas, and the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New York, the event explores how educational research can be transformed into scalable EdTech solutions.
The program features insights from Prof. Tish Jennings, Professor of Education at the University of Virginia, and Prof. Bettina Lucia Amrhein, Head of the Chair of Inclusive Education and Diversity at the University of Duisburg-Essen. They will share perspectives from their research and experiences with the challenges of scaling educational initiatives born in academia.
Interactive roundtables will explore innovation processes, funding landscapes, and the opportunities and barriers involved in effective knowledge transfer. The event will also showcase how U.S.-German collaboration can drive progress in educational technology and the successful transfer of research into practical applications.
SCALEability is designed for entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, and EdTech innovators looking to bridge the gap between research and real-world application.
