This soirée celebrates life and work of the legendary composer Kurt Weill in honor of his 125th birthday year. Haan takes audiences on a musical journey through Berlin, Paris, and New York, tracing, through his lesser-known compositions from the 1940s
Chanteuse Internationale Adrienne Haan showcases Kurt Weill's musical journey through Berlin, Paris, and New York. This soirée features his famous songs from Berlin’s Golden 20s, his French oeuvres from his exile years during the 30s, as well as his Broadway successes from the 40s. Celebrating the Kurt Weill Year 2025 by honoring his 125th birthday, Haan and her trio take the audience on an emotional ride by telling Kurt Weill’s life story across the continents intertwined with her own, arranged to match Haan's very diverse vocal range and ability to sing different music styles in various languages. Directed by Barry Kleinbort, this performance is a “remarkable one-woman show and the talk of the town”. (The Huffington Post)
