Exhibition opening of Andrea Frank's “Seed.” The long-term photographic project Seed follows the circular annual process of earth resting, saplings growing, plants bearing fruit, and the fruits bringing forth seeds again

Deutsches Haus at NYU presents the exhibition opening of Andrea Frank's “Seed.” The long-term photographic project Seed follows the circular annual process of earth resting, saplings growing, plants bearing fruit, and the fruits bringing forth seeds again. Photographs taken at a small Hudson Valley Seed Company farm plot in Kerhonkson, NY were digitally altered to visually negotiate the disturbing feeling that our current systems and habits are slowly unraveling the thread of life.

The project also exists in an infinite-loop accordion book format with four text booklets sewn into the folds and hard cover casing. It was adapted to the exhibition site.

The exhibition opening will be held on January 27, and include an artist talk with Andrea Frank. The exhibition will remain on view through March 31.
