CS Art Partners presents On the Threshold, a salon exhibition of selected works by German artist Elias Wessel, who is based in New York since 2008.
Bringing together series such as Deepfakes – Privacy, It’s Complicated, Die Summe meiner Daten – On Series, and Ereignishorizonte, the exhibition focuses on works that emerge from digital displays, scrolling image feeds, and traces of use. What at first appears painterly, abstract, or minimal gradually reveals its grounding in photographic processes and in the structures of contemporary image culture.

Installed within a domestic setting, On the Threshold invites an intimate and attentive mode of viewing — one that moves between painterly surface, photographic trace, and reflection on how digital systems shape perception as well as social and political landscapes.
