The KINO! Film Salon is a free monthly online film discussion group about German film, produced by
Telescope Film and the German Film Office. Each month we choose a German film or series currently available to stream, watch it independently, and come together for a hosted conversation with other fans of German film.

Our film for July is The Forest for the Trees, directed by Maren Ade, best known for Toni Erdmann. The Forest for the Trees, Ade’s debut film, won the Special Jury Prize at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and launched Ade’s international career as an independent director, screenwriter, and producer.
