Celebrate the 185th anniversary of the birth of Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904), one of the greatest Czech composers and one of the most influential figures of the Romantic era.

Harmony of Nations: Dvořák 185 is a special commemorative concert bringing outstanding Czech musicians to New York City. The evening will take place at the historic German Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Paul, a venue that reflects the strong cultural connections between Europe and the United States.

During his years in America, Dvořák left a lasting mark on American musical life and found inspiration that shaped some of his most famous works. His international career was also closely connected with Germany through the support of Johannes Brahms and the Berlin publisher Fritz Simrock.

The program will feature music by Antonín Dvořák alongside selected works by Johannes Brahms, highlighting the artistic friendship, mutual respect and cultural connections between these two great composers.

The concert will feature Czech artists Martin Vydra, baritone; Lukáš Dvořák, organ; and Tereza Horáková, violin.

The event is held under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York and the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in New York, in cooperation with the Dvořák American Heritage Association (DAHA) and the St. Paul's German Evangelical Lutheran Church, New York City.

Admission is free until the hall reaches capacity.
