Theo Kidess - Consul General San Francisco
Theo Kidess serves as Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in San Francisco since August 2025. Before coming to California he was Head of Mission of Germany in Yangon, Myanmar. Further overseas assignments of Theo Kidess were at German missions in Beijing / PR China, London/ UK, Hong Kong and Phnom Penh/ Cambodia. At the German Federal Foreign Office he assumed various functions on EU affairs, relations to the countries of South Eastern Europe and to ASEAN members. From 2018 to 2023 he was in charge of relations to Asia and Africa as director at the Federal President’s Office in Berlin. Theo Kidess is married and father of one daughter.
