The Consular and Legal Section is open to the public Monday through Friday, except on selected German and American Holidays. Visa collection is possible from Monday to Wednesday 2:00 pm - 4.00 pm. Should you be in a situation where you need immediate help you may call the emergeny phone number of the German Consulate after office hours and on weekends at the following number: 1-202-298-4000
Please note that the emergency service of the German Consulate is basically meant to assist Germans in dire situations.
General information, visa questions etc cannot be answered when calling this number.
