The Tax Info Center (Steuerliches Info-Center – SIC ) at the Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt für Steuern – BZSt) provides tax information and related services, for example on how to obtain your German tax identification number (“Steuer-Identifikationsnummer”). Both German and foreign private persons, as well as companies, may receive information about the jurisdiction of the German tax administration.
